Straight answers — including the ones about what Hookra deliberately doesn't do. Anything missing, email hello@hookra.co.
What exactly does Hookra do?
Hookra decodes why winning ads work. Every ad in the corpus — 17 UK DTC health brands across Meta + TikTok — is broken down into the psychological trigger it pulls, the concept angle it takes, and a hook-quality score. On top of that sit the patterns: which angles are saturated in your category, which are working but underused, and ready-to-shoot UGC briefs for the gaps.
How is that different from the Meta Ad Library, or just scrolling TikTok?
The ad libraries show you what is running; they cannot tell you why it works or what is missing. Hookra tags every creative with the psychological bias it uses and the angle it takes, scores every hook, and tracks how long Meta ads stay live — so instead of a wall of screenshots you get "3 of 1,400+ ads speak to the partner" and a brief for the gap.
Why do you only cover UK DTC health?
Deliberately. A library with millions of ads across every vertical is a swipe file; a corpus where every single ad in one category is decoded is a dataset you can reason about. Depth is what makes the white-space analysis honest — we can tell you an angle is untested in UK DTC health because we can see the whole category, not a sample of it.
Which platforms do you cover?
Meta (Facebook + Instagram) and TikTok, for ads running to UK audiences. Only ads posted in the last 12 months are kept in the corpus — old creative teaches old patterns.
What is a brief in Hookra?
A ready-to-shoot UGC brief generated from a live pattern: the hook (spoken and text-overlay), the persona it targets, the shot-by-shot beats, and a call-to-action matched to the awareness stage of the angle. It is written to hand straight to a creator, not to inspire a brainstorm.
What do I get in the free trial?
14 days of full access to the library, patterns, and boards, plus 20 briefs for the length of the trial. You can cancel in one click from Settings any time before it converts.
Yes. The Agency plan includes up to 5 team seats with shared boards and comments, up to 10 client workspaces, and per-client brand watchlists. The Pro plan is built for an individual strategist or media buyer.
Can I request a brand you do not cover yet?
Yes — there is a brand-request form inside the app, and requests within UK DTC health are usually the next brands we add. If you need a whole competitor set covered for a project, tell us and we will scope it.
How fresh is the data?
New creative is ingested on a regular cadence — TikTok more frequently than Meta, because it moves faster — and Meta ads are re-checked so the corpus knows which are still live and which were killed. Ad age is shown on every creative, so you always know whether a pattern is current.
Do you also do the work, not just the software?
Yes. We run ad account audits, persona sprints built from what is actually converting in your category, and fractional creative strategy — all on the same corpus the software runs on. Engagements are scoped on a call.
The corpus is built from publicly available ads — the same creative anyone can see in the Meta Ad Library or on TikTok — plus our own analysis of it. Your account data, boards, and briefs are private to your workspace and are never shared or sold.
